Survey microdata made accessible
- National Survey catalog available on CAPMAS website - in Arabic and English (selection of surveys) (see URL above).
- Priority nationally representative surveys and censuses documented, archived and disseminated.
- Capacity built within CAPMAS to document, archive and disseminate microdata. About 25 staff trained on microdata management standards, tools and practice; top management sensitized.

Egypt: NADA upgrade and Survey Metadata Production Workshop at CAPMAS (March 2014)
The ADP coordinated a NADA upgrade (NADA 4.2) and Survey Metadata Production Workshop at the Central Agency for Public Mobilzation and Statistics (CAPMAS) of Egypt with the help of the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS). This workshop is part of the on-going effort of the ADP to promote a community of practice in data archiving and microdata dissemination. The workshop took place March 23-27. Haitham Jawabreh (PCBS) facilitated the workshop. Sixty-two surveys were uploaded. Nineteen participants attended the workshop and thirteen new surveys were documented in Arabic.
Regional Training Workshop on NADA 4.0 held in Tunis for English Speaking African Countries (June 2013)
A Regional Training workshop was held in Tunis, Tunisia on June 10 – 12, 2013 in the context of the launching of the NADA 4.0 by the International Household Survey Network (IHSN). This workshop was jointly organized by PARIS21 with the World Bank and the African Development Bank.

The PARIS21 Secretariat and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) undertook a training workshop on the use of the IHSN Microdata Management Toolkit. This workshop was conducted in the context of the joint OECD/PARIS21 – World Bank Accelerated Data Program (ADP, www.ihsn.org/adp). The "Maghreb Workshop on Survey Data Documentation, Archiving and Dissemination Techniques" was held in Gammarth, Tunisia, on 26 and 27 May 2010. Participants, coming from seven countries (Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Mauritania, Palestine and Tunisia), have discussed standards and tools, and best practices available.Egypt CAPMAS takes another step in documenting and disseminating survey metadata (april 2010)
The ADP conducted a monitoring mission to CAPMAS with the aim of reviewing the details of 6 surveys. These have been documented using the Toolkit. The DDIs were thoroughly reviewed and the processes for installing a NADA were carefully reviewed with the web development team. A key training will take place from April 3-15 and involve PCBS with the goal of setting up an Arabic language program by the beginning of June. This will be integrated into their new website which is currently under construction.
