Rwanda: National Institute of Statistics launched NADA in the Open Access to Statistical Data Workshop (May 2013)

The National Institute of Statistics Rwanda (NISR), an ADP member since 2011, launched its National Data Archive (NADA) at the Open Access to Statistical Data Workshop held on May 10, 2013 in Kigali. The workshop was attended by the director General of NISR, data users, and Representatives from UN Rwanda, African Development Bank and OECD/PARIS21/ADP. NADA was presented as the platform for disseminating survey and census microdata. During the same workshop, NISR also launched tools for disseminating time-series data, including Statistical Data Portal, SDMX and Stat Alert. NADA-Rwanda currently documents fifteen surveys and census, thirteen of which provide direct access to the microdata files. ADP and NISR are working together to further promote the use of NADA through hosting microdata outreach workshops and engaging more users.
