Mozambique: more official data producing agencies involved in data documention (July 2013)

An IHSN Microdata Management Toolkit Training and Survey Metadata Production Workshop were held from July 27 to August 2, 2013 at the Instituto Nacional de Estatistica (INE) in Maputo, Mozambique for the INE and seven line ministries; including the Bank of Mozambique. A total of nineteen participants documented twelve surveys which will soon be published on INE’s NADA Catalog: http://www.mozdata.gov.mz/mozdata after the quality controls are completed. As the INE is the main institution for official data dissemination in Mozambique, they have invited various official data producing agencies to document and share a common data dissemination portal under its current national statistical system in order to expand its NADA. ADP will continue to provide support to INE by organizing a microdata outreach workshop to further promote the use of microdata and provide a platform for facilitating user-producer dialogues.
