The ADP held a regional workshop on data documentation and dissemination in the Southern Africa region from June 24-26. The DDP has engaged NSOs in all 15 countries of the Southern Africa Development Community in regional and national-level capacity development in microdata documentation and management. ADP is also supporting some of the countries in the development of dissemination policies, and facilitating country-level user/producer exchanges through microdata outreach workshops....

A Regional Training workshop was held in Tunis, Tunisia on June 13 – 15, 2013 in the context of the launching of the NADA 4.0 by the International Household Survey Network (IHSN). This workshop was jointly organized by PARIS21 with the World Bank and the African Development Bank. The workshop aimed to expose participants to the latest version of the NADA application which was recently released, to upgrade their existing NADAs and implement relevant quality enhancements to their systems and to discuss strategic and technical issues relating to microdata dissemination in general....

Angola INE requested ADP support over the summer 2012, and joined ADP in October. INE held its first training workshop on microdata management in Luanda, 5-9 November 2012. INE received the tools enthusiastically and plans to institutionalize documentation, archiving and dissemination of survey microdata quickly. INE will be moving into a new building and will be projecting a renewed and dynamic image to the public. An ADP support project is being elaborated and it is expected that a public NADA will be available in March of 2014....

The PARIS21 Secretariat and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) undertook a training workshop on the use of the IHSN Microdata Management Toolkit.
