Panama: DDI Expansion Workshop (December 2014)
A DDI Expansion Workshop was undertaken in Panama City, Panama from the 2-5 December. The objective of the workshop was to introduce agencies in the National Statistical System (NSS) on the use of the IHSN tools for data documentation. The workshop was coordinated by the National Institute of Statistics of Panama (INEC). The workshop was attended by 18 participants from the NSS and from INEC. The five day-training course introduced participants to the IHSN tools and best practices in data documentation. As a result of the workshop, 22 statistical operations were documented.Panamá: DDI production workshop (May 2014)
A DDI Production Workshop was organized in Panamá on May 12 - 16th, 2014 for the National Institute of Statistics of Panamá (INEC) as a follow up of the recent Microdata Management Toolkit Workshop held in April this year. The workshop was held in Panama City with thirteen participants, one from the National Statistical System (NSS) and twelve from INEC.Panamá: National Institute of Statistics Introduces (INEC) the DDI (March 2014)
A Microdata Management Training was held in Panamá on March 31 – April 4, 2014. The training was held in the Higher Institute of Auditing, Control and Governance facilities, with twelve participants, two from the National System of Statistics (SEN) and ten from the National Institute of Statistics (INEC). The five day-training course was divided into two parts:
Panamá: International Labor Organization (ILO) Documentation Regional Workshop (February 2014)
The ILO regional partner Sistema de Información y Análisis Laboral de América Latina y el Caribe (SIALC) held a regional Microdata Management Training in Panamá on 3 – 7 February 2014. The workshop was held in SIALC facilities with six participants, two from the ILO– Statistics Department at Geneva and four from the ILO–SIALC office at Panama City.
Regional training workshop on population and housing census documentation and archiving organized in Costa Rica (September 2012)
A Regional training workshop on population and housing census documentation and archiving was held on San Jose, Costa Rica from September 3 to 7, 2012. This workshop was organized jointly with the NSO of Costa Rica (INEC). The workshop aimed to provide training on DDI and the IHSN Microdata Management Toolkit (MMT) to participants involved directly in Housing and Population Censuses. It was also intended to introduce the DDI and MMT to agencies not yet involved in the ADP.
The Regional Workshop gathered 22 participants from 12 countries, 6 participants came from 3 anglo-speakers Caribbean Countries: Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago and Saint Lucia.
