Results obtained with ADP support include:
Survey microdata made accessible
- National Survey catalog available on NBS website (see URL above).
- All available nationally representative surveys and censuses documented, archived and disseminated.
- Capacity built and sustained within NBS and NPC to document, archive and disseminate microdata - as standard processes of every survey undertaken. About 30 staff trained on microdata management standards, tools and practice; top management sensitized.
Quality of future surveys improved
- Detailed Quality assessment of the data sources on access to water and sanitation, which led to a revised estimate for the relevant MDG Indicator in 2008.

Nigeria: University of Ibadan joins community of academic-based survey data platforms (April 2015)
The ADP together with the University of Ibadan Centre for Sustainable Development (CESDEV) held a data documentation workshop to promote the data documentation standard (DDI).This was a first step in producing an academic archive. The University intends to manage their research studies using the NADA tool developed by the IHSN. The workshop was undertaken from April 20-22.Six survey datasets were documented and disseminated on the Survey Data Platform, see: http://nada.ui.edu.ng/ .CESDEV (http://cesdev.ui.edu.ng/) joins a growing community of academic-based archives interested in promoting their studies.
Nigeria: NBS reaches out to education data producers and users for harmonizing education data in Nigeria (May 2014)
ADP, joined by EDOREN (Education, Data, Research and Evidence in Nigeria) and the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) of Nigeria, organized an Education Data Outreach and Harmonization Workshop in Abuja, Nigeria on May 26 - 28, 2014.
Regional Training Workshop on NADA 4.0 held in Tunis for English Speaking African Countries (June 2013)
A Regional Training workshop was held in Tunis, Tunisia on June 10 – 12, 2013 in the context of the launching of the NADA 4.0 by the International Household Survey Network (IHSN). This workshop was jointly organized by PARIS21 with the World Bank and the African Development Bank.
Nigeria National Population Commission joins ADP ! (Abuja, Federal Republic of Nigeria - June 2012)
The Accelerated Data Program continues its reinforcement of the National Statistical System in Abuja, Nigeria. A Mircodata Management Toolkit Workshop was undertaken from June 18-22 to introduce the National Population Commission (NPopC) to the tools and the DDI standard. NPopC is the third federal agency now using the IHSN tools, together with the National Bureau of Statistics and the Ministry of Health. The tools were well received by technicians and senior management.Nigeria Health Sector sees ADP and Measure Evaluation team up on microdata management (December 2011) !
The Federal Ministry of Health (FMoH) and USAID funded Measure and Evaluation are undertaking a data inventory and documentation project of microdata found in the health sector. The FMoH is among one of the big data producers in the Nigerian Federal Government. This project foresees documenting over 70 surveys. The ADP through its program of assistance with the National Bureau of Statistics is collaborating with the project and undertook the first Microdata Management Toolkit Trainin in Abuja from Nov. 20-Dec. 4. Am FMoH data archive has been set up (NaHeDa) with the assistance of NBS and a data dissemination policy is currently under review.
