Results
Results obtained with ADP support include:
Surveys inventoried and preserved
- All available nationally representative surveys inventoried, some documented and archived (work in progress).
- Capacity built within HCP and line Ministries to document and archive microdata. About 10 staff trained on microdata management standards, tools and practice; top management sensitized.
Microdata Management Toolkit Training and DDI Production Workshop for line ministries in Morocco (Rabat, 13-17 December 2010)
After a successful implementation of ADP activities and use of IHSN tools at the Morocco NSO (HCP), a Microdata Management Toolkit Training and a DDI Production Workshop has been organised with HCP fot the line ministries. At this occasion 12 surveys have been documented by the participants coming from 6 different national agencies.
The ADP will continue to support the national agencies in Morocco, including for quality controls of documentation, and dissemination of survey metadata.
ADP/AFRISTAT sub-regional training on NADA 3.0 organized in Bamako, Mali, 14-16 September 2010
The ADP organized with AFRISTAT a sub-regional training on NADA 3.0 in Bamako on 14-16 September. Participants from National Statistics Offices from Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea, Mali, Morocco, Mauritania, Niger and Senegal attended the sessions. All but Cape Verde, Morocco and Mauritania already maintain a NADA on their websites.
This training follows a previous successful joint training on NADA 2.0, organized in 2008.
The workshop focused on:
- Introducing the new NADA 3.0.
- Training in NADA 3.0 installation.
- Training in NADA 3.0 administration.
- Upgrading from NAD2.0 to NADA3.0.
- Getting feedback on functionality.
Maghreb Workshop on Survey Data Documentation, Archiving and Dissemination Techniques, Gammarth, Tunisia, 26 and 27 May 2010
The "Maghreb Workshop on Survey Data Documentation, Archiving and Dissemination Techniques" was held in Gammarth, Tunisia, on 26 and 27 May 2010. Participants, coming from seven countries (Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Mauritania, Palestine and Tunisia), have discussed standards and tools, and best practices available.
