Survey microdata made accessible
- National Survey catalog available on NSO website (see URL above).
- All available nationally representative surveys and censuses documented, archived and disseminated.
- Capacity built and sustained within NSO to document, archive and disseminate microdata - as standard processes of every survey undertaken. About 10 staff trained on microdata management standards, tools and practice; top management sensitized.

Philippines: Regional Microdata Dissemination Policy Development Workshop (December 2014)
The ADP has been engaging countries in regional workshops dedicated to developing data dissemination policies. In 2014, several such regional workshops were undertaken. This is the first to focus specifically on developing coherent microdata dissemination policies in Asia. The workshop was held in Manila from 15-17 December 2014 and focused on the development of microdata dissemination policies within the context of their statistics laws.Japan: ADP Introduces the Data Module at a regional NSDS workshop (December 2014)
PARIS21, in collaboration with UN Statistical Institute for Asia and the Pacific (UNSIAP), conducted a regional training course on the National Strategies for the Development of Statistics (NSDS) on December 9-12, 2014 at UNSIAP in Chiba, Japan. This training course was designed to introduce high level country representatives in the new NSDS Guidelines. In collaboration with the Accelerated Data Program (ADP) a new addition known as the “Data Module” was introduced into the NSDS process. Pilot work is being undertaken to develop a “Data Module” that would assist countries developing their NSDS to compute and plan their survey program.Mongolia: Microdata Manangement Training Refresher and Work Program (April 2014)
An ADP mission visited the Mongolia National Statistics Office (NSO) on April 21 and conducted a half-day Microdata Management Training on Nesstar Publisher attended by staff members from the NSO and National Center of Public Health.
Mr. Sononmtseren Mendsaikhan, Chairman of the NSO, welcomed the ADP and thanked them for the partnership and technical assistance, particularly in the context of Open Data initiatives. He also expressed the demand for training in anonymization of microdata.
Regional Training Workshop on NADA 4.0 held in Manila for Asian and Pacific Countries (June 2013)
NADA Administrators from fifteen agencies in eleven countries of Asia and the Pacific gathered in Bonifacio Global City, Metro Manila, Philippines on June 25-27, 2013 for a regional training workshop on NADA 4.0. The workshop began with sessions on upgrading the NADAs from version 3 to version 4. The sessions that followed were on site administration, implementing quality control measures, and learning the new features of NADA. The new NADA has several enhancements, both for users and administrators.
IHSN/ADP and SIAP partner again on microdata management (Chiba, Japan, December 2012)
The Third Group Training Course in the Production and Development of Official Statistics (in support for National Development including the Achievement of MDGs) conducted by the Statistical Institute for Asia and the Pacific in Chiba, Japan included a short module on microdata access and survey documentation. The 25 participants came from 15 countries, namely, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Ethiopia, India, Iraq, Lao P.D.R., Lesotho, Micronesia, Mongolia, Pakistan, Philippines, Samoa, Syria and Tanzania. The Toolkit was used by the participants in documenting their course project on a survey of ex-SIAP trainees. The final presentation of the project output will be done using the NADA.
