- All available nationally representative surveys inventoried, some documented and archived (work in progress).

Mauritania ONS progressing on survey documentation (September 2012)
ONS Mauritania received technical assistance from INS Cameroon in September 2012 to assist in the finalization of the documentation of its recent surveys. ONS is experiencing constraints in capacity to undertake these tasks as a routine exercise. However, it is expected that ONS will publish very soon its NADA on-line survey catalog, which will provide access to survey metadata.Microdata Management Toolkit Training and DDI Production Workshop for the Mauritanian line ministries (Nouakchott, 12-16 December 2010)
A Microdata management toolkit training and a DDI production workshop for the line ministries was organized jointly between ADP and ONS Mauritania on 12 - 16 December 2010. 11 participants coming from 8 different national agencies have attended the training. During these 5 days the participants have documented 8 surveys. Specific support programmes are being prepared with each line ministry.
First IHSN Microdata Management Toolkit Training and DDI Production Workshop for Mauritania (Nouakchott, 9-14 October 2010)
A Microdata Management Toolkit Training was held in Nouakchott, Mauritania from 9 to 14 October 2010. The training included a DDI production workshop where 10 surveys were partially documented. The participants will continue to document their respective surveys which will be validated during a quality control workshop to be held in Nouakchott in January 2011.
ADP/AFRISTAT sub-regional training on NADA 3.0 organized in Bamako, Mali, 14-16 September 2010
The ADP organized with AFRISTAT a sub-regional training on NADA 3.0 in Bamako on 14-16 September. Participants from National Statistics Offices from Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea, Mali, Morocco, Mauritania, Niger and Senegal attended the sessions. All but Cape Verde, Morocco and Mauritania already maintain a NADA on their websites.
This training follows a previous successful joint training on NADA 2.0, organized in 2008.
The workshop focused on:
- Introducing the new NADA 3.0.
- Training in NADA 3.0 installation.
- Training in NADA 3.0 administration.
- Upgrading from NAD2.0 to NADA3.0.
- Getting feedback on functionality.
Mauritania joins ADP (first ADP mission to Nouakchott, 18-22 July 2010)
ADP activities and tools were presented to all agencies of the Mauritanian National Statistical System, including the ONS and sectorial units. All agencies confirmed their interest in participating in the ADP, starting with an IHSN Microdata Management Toolkit training to be held in Nouakchott in October 2010. An ADP support proposal is currently being drafted. Implementation will start immediately afterwards.
