Surveys inventoried and preserved
- All available nationally representative surveys inventoried, some documented and archived (work in progress).
- Capacity built within DoS to document and archive microdata. About 10 staff trained on microdata management standards, tools and practice; top management sensitized.

Jordan: Survey Metadata Production Workshop and NADA 4.0 upgrade at the Department of Statistics (DOS) (February 2014)
The Department of Statistics (DOS) in Jordan held a Survey Metadata Production Workshop and upgraded their NADA system to version 4.0. The dates of the workshop were February 21-27. Two NADAs were updated: an Arabic site and a English site. Fifteen additional surveys were documented and require revision before posting on the NADA. There were fifteen participants in the worshop. Currently only four surveys have been posted on the English NADA. The workshop was facilitated by Mr. Haitham Jawabreh from PCBS. A program of regional support is being elaborated to assist with data documentation and dissemination.
Regional Training Workshop on NADA 4.0 held in Tunis for English Speaking African Countries (June 2013)
A Regional Training workshop was held in Tunis, Tunisia on June 10 – 12, 2013 in the context of the launching of the NADA 4.0 by the International Household Survey Network (IHSN). This workshop was jointly organized by PARIS21 with the World Bank and the African Development Bank.
Regional training on the documentation and archiving of agricultural censuses and surveys organized in Manila, Philippines (21-25 February 2011)
The second "Regional Training on the Documentation and Archiving of Agricultural Censuses and Surveys” was held in Manila, Philippines, 21-25 February 2011. In line with the objective of the first workshop in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the workshop was organized to train participants from 14 countries on the use the IHSN Microdata Management Toolkit for the documentation of agricultural censuses and surveys, and to initiate the documentation of their latest agricultural census.Maghreb Workshop on Survey Data Documentation, Archiving and Dissemination Techniques, Gammarth, Tunisia, 26 and 27 May 2010
The "Maghreb Workshop on Survey Data Documentation, Archiving and Dissemination Techniques" was held in Gammarth, Tunisia, on 26 and 27 May 2010. Participants, coming from seven countries (Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Mauritania, Palestine and Tunisia), have discussed standards and tools, and best practices available.Jordan: The Department of Statistics (DoS) initiates data documentation activities (March 2010)
The DoS conducted a Microdata Management Toolkit training in Amman, Jordan (Feb. 21-March 5, 2010). The training was attended by 15 persons and documented 5 surveys (both English and Arabic).
A beta version of the Arabic NADA was tested. The DoS has expressed interest in developing both an Arabic and English NADA data archive.
