Colombia: Microdata management critical in monitoring and evaluation (May 2013)

The National Department of Planning (DNP by its Spanish Acronym) is the Colombian Agency that leads the activities of Monitoring and Evaluation of Public Policies in Colombia. Private consulting firms are hired through competitive process to collect and analyze data on public policies for these evaluations. DNP authorities currently include microdata documentation as a requirement in the Terms of Reference (TOR) of this bidding processes - recommending the use of the DDI standard and the IHSN Microdata Management Toolkit.

A Toolkit workshop will be held on May 7 -10, 2013, for the consultants hired recently.
