Lesotho: Bureau of Statistics trained in the use of the new Metadata Editor (November 2013)
At the request of the Lesotho Bureau of Statistics (BOS), staff of the BOS gathered in the town of Leribe from November 25 - 29, 2013 to participate in an ADP documentation workshop. Nineteen staff members from different departments attended the workshop. The following surveys were documented during the workshop: Population and Housing Census 2006 (miscrosample), Integrated Labour Force Survey 2008, Lesotho Demographic Survey 2011, Agricultural Census (Livestock)2010. Discussions over the future direction of the data documentation activities were also undertaken. In addition to the documentation work, a NADA 4.1 system was set up for demonstration during the workshop. The output was displayed and the NADA functionality demonstrated. The old NADA system which had been set up on a previous mission is scheduled for an upgrade as part of the work program. The ADP coordinator, Ivy Makoa, expressed further interest and support.
