Niger: Data Dissemination Policy Reviewed (April 2014)
The ADP supported the INS in Niger to review the draft data dissemination policy in Tillabéri, Niger from the 19-22 April. A draft produced by the INS was reviewed in a consultative setting with 9 agencies interested in data dissemination. Twenty-one persons attended the workshop with inputs coming from international consultants representing various statistics offices. These included: Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal. The two-day workshop reviewed the legal processes currently in place and resolved to review the current law in place regarding provisions to disseminate microdata (ref: N°2014-66). Comments on the draft were deliberated and a new draft data dissemination policy will be circulated for a final review.
