Results obtained with ADP support include:
Survey microdata made accessible
- National Survey catalog available on INSTAT website (see URL above).
- All available nationally representative surveys and censuses documented, archived and disseminated.
- Capacity built and sustained within INSTAT to document, archive and disseminate microdata - as standard processes of every survey undertaken. About 15 INSTAT staff trained on microdata management standards, tools and practice; top management sensitized. Additional staff were trained in line Ministries (about 20).
Quality of future surveys improved
- Detailed quality assessment of the Annual Agriculture Survey from the Ministry of Agriculture performed.
- Several quality improvements implemented in the Annual Agriculture Survey - notably in quality controls and data processing.

Mali: Afristat to lead on ADP quality assessments (April 2015)
The Accelerated Data Program will be conducting a series of quality assessments at the regional level during the third and fourth quarter of 2015. Regional partners are being selected to form the hubs of the assessment work. The assessment work will include reviewing the quality of the ADP output, such as the NADA and the quality of the documentation or the Data Documentation Initiative (DDI). A series of quality assessment tools has been developed and will be implemented at the regional level. These include minimum quality standards for publication of the ADP output.Regional: Microdata Dissemination Policy Workshop (May 2014)
The ADP held a workshop in Paris, France from May 22-23 at the OECD conference center. The workshop was promoted under the Stat-3 series of workshops that will focus on: microdata dissemination policy development; microdata quality; responding to user demand for microdata. These workshops are designed to be short and focused discussions targeting decision makers at the country level. The countries represent a regional group that are in different stages in the process of developing systematic approaches to developing microdata dissemination policies; improving microdata quality and having well managed approaches to responding to user demands.
Regional Training Workshop on NADA 4.0 held in Tunis for Francophone and Lusophone African Countries (June 2013)
A Regional Training workshop was held in Tunis, Tunisia on June 13 – 15, 2013 in the context of the launching of the NADA 4.0 by the International Household Survey Network (IHSN). This workshop was jointly organized by PARIS21 with the World Bank and the African Development Bank.
The workshop aimed to expose participants to the latest version of the NADA application which was recently released, to upgrade their existing NADAs and implement relevant quality enhancements to their systems and to discuss strategic and technical issues relating to microdata dissemination in general.ADP/AFRISTAT sub-regional training on NADA 3.0 organized in Bamako, Mali, 14-16 September 2010
The ADP organized with AFRISTAT a sub-regional training on NADA 3.0 in Bamako on 14-16 September. Participants from National Statistics Offices from Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea, Mali, Morocco, Mauritania, Niger and Senegal attended the sessions. All but Cape Verde, Morocco and Mauritania already maintain a NADA on their websites.
This training follows a previous successful joint training on NADA 2.0, organized in 2008.
The workshop focused on:
- Introducing the new NADA 3.0.
- Training in NADA 3.0 installation.
- Training in NADA 3.0 administration.
- Upgrading from NAD2.0 to NADA3.0.
- Getting feedback on functionality.
Mali INSTAT meeting Users on its draft microdata dissemination policy (28-29 June 2010)
A national workshop was organized in Bamako, Mali, 28-29 June 2010. More than 40 Participants from the Malian NSO (INSTAT), line ministries, international partners, university and civil society - discussed the draft microdata dissemination policy prepared by INSTAT. The policy materializes INSTAT commitment to make its microdata accessible and used, in line with the national legislation and its strategic plan.
The initiative was praised by participants who prepared and agreed on a list of recommendations and an action plan to finalize the existing draft.
