A Regional Training workshop was held in Tunis, Tunisia on June 13 – 15, 2013 in the context of the launching of the NADA 4.0 by the International Household Survey Network (IHSN). This workshop was jointly organized by PARIS21 with the World Bank and the African Development Bank. The workshop aimed to expose participants to the latest version of the NADA application which was recently released, to upgrade their existing NADAs and implement relevant quality enhancements to their systems and to discuss strategic and technical issues relating to microdata dissemination in general....

The ADP funded and facilitated a DDI production workshop on 3-7 September 2012 in Koudougou, Burkina Faso. The workshop was hosted by the Institut National de la Statistique et de la Démographie (INSD) and was opened by its Director General, Pr Banza BAYA. 24 INSD staff persons attended and 10 surveys were documented. New INSD staff were trained on standards and tools for microdata management. INSD already has a NADA installed on their website with 10 surveys and is available at http://www.insd.bf/nada/index.php/catalog....

The ADP organized with AFRISTAT a sub-regional training on NADA 3.0 in Bamako on 14-16 September. Participants from National Statistics Offices from Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea, Mali, Morocco, Mauritania, Niger and Senegal attended the sessions. All but Cape Verde, Morocco and Mauritania already maintain a NADA on their websites. This training follows a previous successful joint training on NADA 2.0, organized in 2008. A new survey catalog (NADA application) was set up at the Institut de Recherche en Science de la Santé (IRSS). The catalog is available at http://www.irss.bf/catalogue/. The Institute is a semi-private organization associated with the Ministry of Health that conducts surveys and research in health related matters.
