The ADP facilitated a Training Workshop for the NSO of El Salvador (DIGESTyC) from November 26 to 30, 2012. The NSO is enhancing its capacity in microdata documentation and archiving - through systematic use of the IHSN tools. 14 participants were trained, including 2 participants from the NSO of Guatemala interested in improving their skills. 7 surveys were documented during the workshop, with a special focus on quality controls. Follow-up activities are being implented internally by DIGESTYC.

A Regional training workshop on population and housing census documentation and archiving was held on San Jose, Costa Rica from September 3 to 7, 2012. The III Meeting of the Central-America Statistical Commission (CENTROESTAD) of the Central America Integration System (SICA) was held in San Salvador (El Salvador) on September 1-2, 2010 . The meeting was hosted by Mr. Glenn Avilez, Pro-Tempore President of CENTROESTAD and head of the National Statistical Office (NSO) of Belize.
