The ADP/PARIS21 in collaboration with Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) organized a pilot Regional Quality Assessment Workshop for Anglophone West Africa in Accra from 9 to 10 June 2015. A Regional Workshop on Developing Data Dissemination Policies was held from 27 – 29 August 2014 in Kigali, Rwanda. Representatives from National Statistics Offices of eight countries attended the workshop, including: Botswana, Burundi, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Rwanda and South Africa. These countries are in different stages of developing their data dissemination policies. Among them Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda and South Africa have full-fledged policies for disseminating microdata. An ADP mission took place on May 5 - 6, 2014 in Ghana Statistics Service (GSS) Accra to take stock of past ADP activities and achievements at GSS, discuss their sustainability and find possibilities of ADP expansion on documenting administrative and vital registration data. A DDI production workshop was held on July 9-13, 2012, with the Ghana Statistical Service. The workshop took place in Ho, Ghana (regional capital of the Volta Province). Twelve persons attended including the head of the regional office, Ms. Augusta Okantey. This is the third workshop to be held in Ghana and the GSS confirms its willingness to maintain and expand its NADA. Nine surveys were documented in 5-days. The Ghana Statistical Service was trained in the installation of the new NADA upgrade (version 2.0). See the new catalog at http://www.statsghana.gov.gh/nada/. GSS was the first agency to upgrade to NADA 2.0 and is now a key regional partner in supporting the technology. Also present at the training was a representative of the IRSS from Burkina Faso.
