The ADP undertook a training support mission with Statistics South Africa (StatsSA). The mission was undertaken by partners at the University of Cape Town (UCT-DataFirst). The aim of the mission was to install National Data Archive (NADA) microdata management software on an intranet at the Stakeholder Relations and Marketing (SRM) Department and train SRM staff to manage StatsSA microdata sets. A special collaborative arrangement exits between Statistics SA and DataFirst at the UCT....

A Regional Workshop on Developing Data Dissemination Policies was held from 27 – 29 August 2014 in Kigali, Rwanda. Representatives from National Statistics Offices of eight countries attended the workshop, including: Botswana, Burundi, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Rwanda and South Africa. These countries are in different stages of developing their data dissemination policies. Among them Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda and South Africa have full-fledged policies for disseminating microdata.
