A Regional Workshop on Developing Data Dissemination Policies was held from 27 – 29 August 2014 in Kigali, Rwanda. Representatives from National Statistics Offices of eight countries attended the workshop, including: Botswana, Burundi, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Rwanda and South Africa. These countries are in different stages of developing their data dissemination policies. Among them Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda and South Africa have full-fledged policies for disseminating microdata. An IHSN Microdata Management Training and Survey Metadata Production Workshop were organized in Bujumbura on February 3-7, 2014 at the request of l’Institut de Statistiques et d’Etudes Economiques du Burundi (ISTEEBU).
