A Regional Workshop on Developing Data Dissemination Policies was held from 27 – 29 August 2014 in Kigali, Rwanda. Representatives from National Statistics Offices of eight countries attended the workshop, including: Botswana, Burundi, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Rwanda and South Africa. These countries are in different stages of developing their data dissemination policies. Among them Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda and South Africa have full-fledged policies for disseminating microdata. The ADP held a regional workshop on data documentation and dissemination in the Southern Africa region from June 24-26. The DDP has engaged NSOs in all 15 countries of the Southern Africa Development Community in regional and national-level capacity development in microdata documentation and management. ADP is also supporting some of the countries in the development of dissemination policies, and facilitating country-level user/producer exchanges through microdata outreach workshops....

At the request of Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) a five-day Survey Metadata Production Workshop using Nesstar Publisher 4.0.9 was held in Nairobi on May 12 - 16, 2014. KNBS has been participating in ADP activities since 2007. A similar workshop was also done in 2011 and about forty-one surveys are available on KeNADA. The latest workshop was done as part of ADP support deigned to  sustain the microdata management process at the NSO....
