The ADP has been engaging countries in regional workshops dedicated to developing data dissemination policies. In 2014, several such regional workshops were undertaken. PARIS21, in collaboration with UN Statistical Institute for Asia and the Pacific (UNSIAP), conducted a regional training course on the National Strategies for the Development of Statistics (NSDS) on December 9-12, 2014 at UNSIAP in Chiba, Japan. This training course was designed to introduce high level country representatives in the new NSDS Guidelines. The National Institute of Statistics (NIS) Cambodia, with the support of the Accelerated Data Program (ADP), hosted a workshop in Phnom Penh on October 17 and 18, 2013 to engage a wide range of microdata users from line ministries, research institutions, NGOs, international organizations and private companies. NIS has recently upgraded the National Data Archive (NADA) with the addition of ten latest surveys including the Economic Census of Cambodia 2011 and Cambodia Socio-Economic Survey 2011....

NADA Administrators from fifteen agencies in eleven countries of Asia and the Pacific gathered in Bonifacio Global City, Metro Manila, Philippines on June 25-27, 2013 for a regional training workshop on NADA 4.0. The workshop began with sessions on upgrading the NADAs from version 3 to version 4. The sessions that followed were on site administration, implementing quality control measures, and learning the new features of NADA. The National Institute of Statistics of Cambodia (NIS) is currently finalizing its microdata dissemination policy, with the help of ADP. The policy is expected to be adopted in the coming months.
NIS is also in the process of improving NADA and adding ten latest surveys to the catalogue, hoping to make NADA more useful to users and dissemination processes more efficient. NIS plans to co-host a Microdata Outreach Workshop with ADP to engage directly with data users, promote the use of microdata and improve access.

In its efforts to assist national statistics offices in enhancing the dissemination of their products, ADP is providing assistance to several countries in the formulation of their Microdata Dissemination Policy. ADP is currently working with Georgia GEOSTAT, Cambodia’s National Institute of Statistics and the Lao Statistics Bureau, both in the final stages of the policy design. The objective is to clarify who can access which type of microdata under which conditions, in accordance with the legal and strategic national contexts....

The Third Group Training Course in the Production and Development of Official Statistics (in support for National Development including the Achievement of MDGs) conducted by the Statistical Institute for Asia and the Pacific in Chiba, Japan included a short module on microdata access and survey documentation. The National Institute of Statistics of Cambodia (NIS) has recently added six new surveys to its National Data Archive (NADA, www.nis.gov.kh/nada), which itself was upgraded to the newer Version 3.1 software.
The new surveys were documented during the DDI Production Workhop held in Sihanoukville, Cambodia by 17 NIS staff on September 12 to 16, 2011. The Workshop aimed to improve their technical capacity to document, archive and disseminate their surveys....

The National Institute of Statistics (NIS) in Cambodia launched its National Data Archive (NADA) on 6 August 2010. The launch, which was held in the NIS premises in Phnom Penh, was attended by guests from other government agencies and representatives from international organizations that provide support for NIS projects. The activity was formally opened by Mr. Lundy Saint, ADP coordinator for the NIS and Director of the ICT Department, followed by his introduction of data documentation and dissemination using the IHSN tools....

A DDI Quality Review Workshop was held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia from 8 to 10 February 2010. Participants to the workshop were 17 personnel from the National Institute of Statistics (NIS) and line ministries. Discussions focused on comments and recommendations to further improve the quality of documentation, based on prior review of the ddis. Documentation of microdata for the administrative-based Health Information System of the Ministry of Health provided a perfect example for the documentation of data from regular operations of line ministries....

The IHSN Toolkit Training and DDI Production Workshop for Cambodia was held in Siem Reap from 28 September to 2 October 2009. The Training was conducted by the ADP Asia team in coordination with the National Institute of Statistics (NIS) of Cambodia. Participants were 13 personnel from the NIS and 5 from line Ministries, namely: Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports; Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries; Ministry of Health; and Ministry of Tourism.
